When will System and Linkin Park write Nu Metal again?

Unfortunately, I think Nu-Metal is as dated as Hair Metal now. Music goes through phases and only those who can adapt to the ever changing market can survive. Everyone else just gets forgotten (SOAD, LP, SlipKnoT and Mudvayne are still known because they moved beyond the Nu-Metal scene, but where are all of the other Nu-Metal bands today?). Sad but true.
