Which of the following is likely to be found in a eukaryotic genome but not in a prokaryotic one?
The answer is E) Telomeric sequences - Telomeric sequences are common in Eukaryotes but very rare in Prokaryotes. Telomere regions tend to be found at the ends of eukaryotic chromosomes and are ociated to complex features of Eukaryotes such as aging etc.... I don't want to go into too much detail because Scientists are still researching into it. However very recently I'm talking about a couple weeks ago Scientists were able to reverse aging in mice by extending the Telomeric sequences which shorten with age and lead to phenotypes of aging (white hair, wrinkles etc....).
