Travelling to Mexico with criminal record?

My husband has a mischief charge and a theft under $1000 charge from 12 years ago. We would like to travel to Mexico for a vacation. He does not have a pardon but there are no outstanding warrants for his arrest and he completed his 1 year probation for it and did not have to pay a fine. Does anyone think this would effect his ability to enter Mexico?
