Should I get a Scarlet Macaw? Why?

So I've been wanting one for like ever and I've finally decided to get one. My friend Hannah is going to be getting a Blue and Gold Macaw Female and I was thinking of getting a Scarlet Male. I'm only 13 but consider myself very mature for my age, and Hannah is also very mature for her age. I've researched and found lots of Pros and Cons.. Should I get one? Why? I know they cost a lot of Money but I'm willing to pay. And could you tell me more about them.. Thanks so much!
