How can i get my own friend id in pokemon platinum?

i want to trade my friend online i have tons of master from the lotto and he wants some so ima make my pokemon hold em then trade the pokemon to him but i cant fond my friend code its not on my pal pad... and i cant connect to my own internet on my ds how do i do that too!!!!
