PLZ HELP ME WITH THIS PRO?

Well though it may be politically incorrect, I believe he should hire the best fit for the job. If Steve's performance outranks everyone else, it is not only fair, it is also just for Steve to get the job. Personally, when I have to deal with employees, I don't ask for a race on applications, and I don't judge them on it when I see them face-to-face. I strive for (to quote Martin Luther King Jr.), "a nation where [people] will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Bottom line, I think that Peter should disregard race, and hire whoever does the best job.
